Texas Longhorn Tours
A must-do when in the area is seeing the Texas Longhorns. These cattle are the most famous and iconic breed of cattle in history and some of the longest horned cattle in the world! The steers have horns spanning more than 250cm tip to tip. Texas Longhorn Tours offers one of the last horse-drawn wagon ride experiences in Australia, as well as a Safari Tour.

Charters Towers Venue Gold Battery
Explore the incredible Venus Gold Battery in Charters Towers and be amazed at how gold was processed during the colourful North Queensland goldrush in the 1800s. Learn about the process of milling ore and be introduced to some of the ghosts of the Battery on a 75 minute guided tour through the historical site.

Towers Hill Lookout and Amphitheatre
Take in the views from Towers Hill Lookout, with early morning the best time to visit to see the local wildlife that lives on and around Towers Hill, such as the Eastern Grey Kangaroo, the Whiptail and the Allied Rock Wallabies. It’s also a lovely spot to catch the sunset in the evening.

In the evening Towers Hill comes to life with the ‘Ghosts after Dark’ film that is shown in the Amphitheatre. Admission fees apply and tickets can be purchased from the Visitor Information Centre.
