The Great Barrier Reef is world heritage listed and Townsville is the best place to access it. Day trips with options of snorkeling, diving & using the glass bottom boat, as well as specialist scuba dives and environmental expeditions, are all available from Townsville. The world famous Yongala shipwreck is well worth a visit. The Reef’s inshore waters also produce a multitude of different sport fish.
